Patrick Wolf The Conquerer

Music fans seeking to quell the global recession by investing their money in Patrick Wolf should be ecstatic - the project has already yielded two very big dividends! What had originally been intended to be a double album entitled Battle is now two single albums called The Bachelor and The Conqueror. The London singer-songwriter says the latter is "all my depression being suddenly lifted by true love.' Conquerer's first single, "Hard Times," is Wolf's "social commentary track." The project also the features the voice of Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton reading Wolf-penned monologues. Wolf met Swinton at the premiere for her film Julia. For eager investors, or fans of lupine folktronica, there’s a “Battlemegamix” sampler streaming at Wolf's MySpace. There’s also regular updates at his YouTube channel.
