Armonico Hewa is the sixth full-length album and first in three years from this long-running Boredoms side-project led by Yoshimi P-We. The same female foursome that crafted 2006's Taiga returns for the new record, whose title is a combinations of Spanish and Swahili words that the band defines as "air in a harmonious state." Expect a 13-track excursion into trance-like percussion experiments, ritualistic vocal harmonies, and noisy but harmonic mischief from these Japanese ladies, who have never been short on ideas in their decade-plus career.
