This quickie follow-up to Of Montreal’s Skeletal Lamping is a five-track EP that features work from producer and composer Jon Brion. Brion’s extraordinary resume includes work on soundtracks (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Punch-Drunk Love), as a producer (with everyone from Elliott Smith to Kanye West) and some notable solo appearances at Largo in Los Angeles. He subtly reworks “First Time High” and “Gallery Pieces” from Skeletal Lamping here, adding backing vocals and a few instrumental flourishes of his own. The EP is completed by a number of Brion-less remixes of the two songs.
