Norah Jones' fourth LP, The Fall, is a game-changing new direction for the coffee house music singer. Producer Jacquire King (Tom Waits, Modest Mouse) takes the reins of a more adventurous collaborative album. This time out Jones enlisted the help of indie songwriters Ryan Adams (on "Light As a Feather") and Okkervil River’s Will Sheff (on "Stuck"), as well as longtime studio sideman Jesse Harris. King also assembled a group of veteran session players, including guitarists Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello) and Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer), keyboardist James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Al Green), and drummers Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and James Gadson (Bill Withers). All of this doesn't exactly explain that huge Saint Bernard featured on Fall's Autumn de Wilde cover photograph.
