Album number two from buzz band supreme No Age can actually be thought of as the group's first full, cohesive record, since last year's Weirdo Rippers was a collection of previously (if obscurely) released singles. Nouns is also the Los Angeles-based duo's first for indie big house Sub Pop. Guitarist Randy Randall and drummer/singer Dean Spunt combine again to make much more of a racket than two human beings should logically be able to. Song titles like "Ripped Knees" and "Brain Burner" attest to the physical force No Age can whip up in its music. Nouns was recorded in London and L.A. A large booklet that accompanies the CD is filled with photographs and other artistic ephemera from Randall and Spunt, who like to dabble in the visual arts.
