Los Angeles-based Ramona Gonzalez made her recorded debut under the moniker Nite Jewel with the lo-fi dance pop album Good Evening, which was recorded along with longtime collaborator Cole M. Greif-Neill (formerly of Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti). Gonzalez creates her music by utilizing a multitrack cassette recorder and various keyboards, drum machines, and other instruments. This independently released second effort is a six-song EP that again enlists Greif-Neill. The title track is a collaboration with Daniel and Andrew Aged from Teen Inc. The EP is something of a stopgap effort, put out while Gonzalez tour and prepares her second CD. Gonzalez is collaborating with DaM-FunK for that release, due out in the winter of 2011.
