Though there was a lot of speculation that this project would never see the light of day, Neil Young fans will finally be treated to a set that does justice to one of pop music’s iconic talents. The first volume of the set, which covers Young’s early work up to his involvement with Buffalo Springfield and the launch of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young offers a comprehensive selections of songs from the era as well as copious notes, photographs, and shorts films. The ten-disc set, which will be released in CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray format. In addition, the archives will be a living document; Young and friends will be adding new material periodically that can be downloaded into a virtual filing cabinet.
