After breaking through with the whole emo/pop-punk movement of the 2000s, My Chemical Romance remained one of the few lasting acts when that sound began to fade. Much of the reason for that is the New Jersey foursome looked to shed its “emo” identity by moving toward an arena rock style. And in 2010, that progression continues with Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. It builds on what was heard on their huge third album, 2006's The Black Parade by injecting a more natural, tightened vibe into the mix with help from famed Warner Bros. Producer Rob Cavallo.
