Berlin's Modeselektor spent the years following the release of 2007's Happy Birthday!, the duo's sophomore album, collaborating. They teamed up with Apparat to form Moderat and outsourced the tracks on Happy Birthday! for a series of remix singles. But Modeselektor wasn't done working under their own name yet. They hit the studio to return to their club-friendly roots for 2011's Monkeytown. The 11-track effort features several guest vocalists, including hip-hop weirdos Busdriver and Anti Pop Consortium and Radiohead's Thom Yorke, who appears twice.
