Mike Weiss, Scott Tuma Taradiddle

The most recent effort from experimental Americana finger-picker and highly underappreciated innovator Scott Tuma (guitarist of the pioneering alt-country heroes Souled American) is a collaboration with percussionist Mike Weis of the Chicago drone-jazz combo Zelienople entitled Taradiddle, a vinyl-only release on Digitalis. If the duo’s latest stint is anything like Tuma’s previous solo opus Not for Nobody, it may be one of the year's preeminent albums.
