Metallica

The Complete Metallica

Release Date: March 31, 2009
Label: Warner Bros.

Abstract

In a turnaround almost as momentous as their surprisingly good Death Magnetic, Metallica demonstrate that their years of wariness of digital music are behind them, with a "digital box set" of every single track they've released officially. That means everything from Kill 'Em All (1983), Ride the Lightning (1984), Master of Puppets (1986), ...And Justice for All (1988), Metallica (1991), Load (1996), Reload (1997), St. Anger (2003) and Death Magnetic (2008), plus the double covers album, Garage Inc. (1998), the live album S&M, the Some Kind of Monster EP, the Live From Live Earth EP, and the infamously leaked "I Disappear" from the Mission: Impossible 2 soundtrack. Buyers will also receive eight bonus live tracks: "The Four Horseman," "Whiplash," "For Whom the Bell Tolls," "Creeping Death," "Battery," "The Thing That Should Not Be," "One," and "...And Justice for All." Two big questions remain. First, what about the tracks from Live Shit: Binge & Purge? Second, why?
