MC Lars

This Gigantic Robot Kills

Release Date: February 24, 2009
Label: Oglio Records

Abstract

Junkies of sarcastic nerd rap, your fix has arrived. The king of "post-punk laptop rap," as he likes to call it, has returned with another full-length album filled with satire and more putdowns of trends than an issue of MAD magazine. Early singles such as "White Kids Aren't Hyphy" and "Hipster Girl" show that MC Lars is still committed to being the observant jokester that has gained him his cult following and cements his status as the go-to guy for liberal arts students who've outgrown Weird Al. Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan and Brett Anderson of The Donnas make appearances on the album.
