Review

After Raekwon dropped the solid follow-up to his seminal debut, things started getting ramped up for the Wu-Tang collective. Rae linked up with Method Man and Ghostface Killah to craft the short-but-sweet Wu-Massacre, and there were also rumblings of another full Wu LP. Especially motivated, though, was Masta Killa. He began 2010 with the concert recordings of Live and hit the ground running with Loyalty is Royalty, which he has called a sonic departure from his earlier work. He also go to work on Soul & Substance, his fifth studio effort likely to feature guest work from his Wu crew, though details on the project remain scarce.
