Massive Attack Heligoland

Forefathers of trip-hop Massive Attack are locked and loaded with their fifth album, Heligoland. Preceded by a four track EP titled Splitting the Atom, Heligoland further demonstrates the legendary duo—comprised of Robet Del Naja (3D) and Grand Marshall (Daddy G)—doing what they do best by augmenting organic textures and sounds with their own cool brand of creepy trip-hop. And no Massive Attack album would be complete without the cameos. From former Tricky alum Martina Topley Bird, Mazzy Star front woman Hope Sandoval, to Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz fame, 3D and Daddy G don’t disappoint on the guest slots. The release of Heligoland will be followed by a stateside tour.
