Abstract

Even those who hate math will likely want to crunch the numbers with Saturdays=Youth, what with how gorgeous M83's music is. As with 2005's Before the Dawn Heals Us, Anthony Gonzalez is the sole musician acting under the M83 moniker for this album. Production assistance on Saturdays=Youth came from Ewan Pearson and Ken Thomas, who have worked with acts like the Rapture and Sigur Ros. While early buzz has Gonzalez getting a little more traditional with the song structures here, there is still enough hazy shoegaze and ambient electronica to know this is definitely an M83 album.

This is their third album, not their second.
