First of all, let's get this straight: There are no boys in the band Lexie Mountain Boys -- all five members are girls. Sacred Vacation is their first full-length. It was recorded, without the use of overdubs or any other special effects, in a church in Baltimore with the help of Andy Stack of Wye Oak. Sacred Vacation is a completely vocal album, but don't call it a cappella. The music of Lexie Mountain Boys is far too energetic and inspired to be herded under that somewhat blase label.
