It seems like more and more deejays are adding layers to their styles by jumping genres and sounds. As one of the first jocks to mix tribal breaks with tech house, Lee Coombs is something of a pioneer. On his Land of the Monkey Snake mix, Coombs funnels his experiences at the Burning Man Festival into a tangible and exciting deejay set. Full of acid squelches, tripped-out vocals and seamless mixing, Coombs definitely brings the heat. The mix is constantly switching vibes, bouncing from breakbeats to house and back again all while maintaining a constant vibe. This mix is definitely one aimed at the dance floor, with choice cuts from the Digital Breaks Foundation, Phil Barry, and Lee Coombs himself set to get asses out of the seats. This is the experience of Burning Man without all the desert heat and lack of showers.
