Chicago sludge/thrash metal band Lair of the Minotaur kicked around for about a year or so before underground metal haven Southern Lord Records signed the trio in 2004. After releasing their appropriately titled debut, Carnage, the band became a bit of a work-horse, touring and recording music nearly nonstop. Almost each subsequent year brought an EP, live album, or full-length from the trio. They also put together an independent label, the Grind-House Records, which is the home of band's fourth studio album, Evil Power.
