After floating around the torrid, gritty underground scene of the West Coast, Kurupt made a huge proclamation with 2009's BlaQKout, which he crafted with DJ Quik. The two had worked together here and there over the years, more specifically during the '90s. And they linked up again to deliver a record that sold reasonably well and impressed critics and listeners alike. Also in the works during the past several years was another full-on collaboration record, Streetlights, which is Kurupt's sixth studio album. It solely features production from Terrace Martin as well as guests Snoop Dogg, Soopafly, and many others.
