The name Debarge used to be synonymous with quality R&B back in the 1980's. The family act served as Motown's next generation version of The Jackson 5 and they enjoyed a fruitful career filled with hit after hit. But after multiple incidents of drug abuse, illness and crime, the name eventually became associated with bad luck. Kristinia, the daughter of James DeBarge, looks to return the family name back to its original purpose: the music. She stands a pretty good chance with backing from Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, who signed her to his new Sodapop label and also produced a few songs for the album. The album promises to be a collection of contemporary pop in the same vein of Rihanna and Britney Spears, if the thumping singles "Goodbye" and "Future Love" are any indication.
