The thrash metal coming out of Germany was easily the most influential in all of Europe during the style's 80s heyday. And while Teutonic titans Kreator may not be on metal's cutting edge anymore, 26 years after first mastering the metallic oompah, the venerable foursome's in tip-top shape on their twelfth album, Hordes of Chaos. It's the third straight awesome LP that Kreator has released in the oughts, and continues the band's steady, heady thrash complication while retaining the trenchant political invective and jugular bee-lines they're known for. The Limited Edition version comes with a bonus DVD with your standard value-add garnishes -- a video, a couple live clips, and a "making of" documentary.

I don't know about this limited edition BS, but the regular edition of this album is AMAZING. Best album Kreator's released in at least a decade.
