The gap between rock and rap has been continuously bridged, for better or for worse, since the early '90s. The results aren't always listener-friendly, what with the whole dreaded nu-metal movement of the late '90s and early 2000s. The rap-rock hybrid isn't necessarily a hot topic in 2010, but some artists would like you to think otherwise. One of those is Young Money's Kevin Rudolf, whose 2008 debut, In the City, met lukewarm-to-awful reviews. But Lil Wayne and Birdman kept the guitarist/vocalist on board for a second album, 2010's To the Sky, which is likely to feature Weezy and his crew along with plenty of guitar-fueled beats.
