There was much drama on the road to the release of Colour Me Free. Stone felt the urge to randomly cut a new album one day and recorded it at a music nightclub owned by her mother in just a week. Her label didn't like the idea of her recording songs without their approval, so the album was met with delays, to the point where Stone even offered to pay back her advance to be released from her contract, according to some reports. Apparently they've all made nice and the follow up to 2007's Introducing Joss Stone is now available with guest appearances from Raphael Saadiq, Sheila E. and Jeff Beck.
