San Francisco's Jonas Reinhardt is not a real person--rather, it's four people who, on their 2008's debut Jonas Reinhardt established a propulsive, Krautrock-influenced sound that utilizes a variety of analog sythesizers and vintage drum machines. For their follow-up album, Powers of Audition, the quartet expands their sound with live instrumentation while maintaining their stark, rhythmic sound.
