The estate of the late, legendary rock guitarist put together this collection, which will be essential for Hendrix fanatics since it includes unreleased material, culled mostly from his final recording sessions. The biggest news is the inclusion of five unreleased original songs: “Mr. Bad Luck,” “Ships Passing Through the Night,” “Lullaby for the Summer,” “Crying Blue Rain” and the title track, which was released as a preview single on Feb. 9. The release is rounded out by several versions of songs Hendrix had previously released, allowing listeners to hear Hendrix reinterpret his material. Also featured will be studio versions of Hendrix’s cover of Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love,” as well as a few tracks that leaked out on long-deleted 1970s posthumous releases like War Heroes. The cover art is a blend of watercolor Hendrix painted as a teenager and a Linda McCartney photo.
