Review

Originally thought to be named Love Kraft, James Pants ended up going the self-titled route for his third album. James Pants is the multi-instrumentalist's first since July 2009's Seven Seals. And like he's shown on that album and his '08 debut, Pants isn't one to rely on a specific sound for his recordings. He might be one to dabble in lo-fi, groove-heavy tunes, but that doesn't mean he does so in one genre. The first two singles from James Pants prove that point, as "Darlin'" is his own take on surf-rock and "Alone" mixes Science Fiction with doo-wop.
