Review

When James Blunt began writing songs for his follow-up to 2007's All The Lost Souls, the British singer-songwriter found he was stuck in a downtrodden rut. As he told Contact Music, his songs were blending together and becoming repetitive. Following a break from the studio, though, Blunt found inspiration and his music flourished with an optimistic bent. This new-found sunnier side is reflected in Some Kind of Trouble's song titles, which include “I'll Be Your Man,” “No Tears,” and “Stay the Night.” While Blunt might still have a hint of sadness in his voice here and there, this, his third LP, is not for the sadsacks.
