Ballads of the Revolution is another example of experimental reinterpretation and long-form improv from Portland's Jackie-O Motherfucker. Along with four originals, it features a version of the traditional song "Nightingale," along with a cover of "Dark Falcons" by Lucky Dragons. Of special interest to those who have seen Jackie-O in concert is the inclusion of "Skylight," a song that has been a live favorite for years but has not been treated with a studio version until this album.
