J. Cole Friday Night Lights

When J. Cole was first talking about his then-untitled proper debut, he said he was focusing solely on that project. But as the months passed in 2010, the Fayetteville, N.C. native found himself inspired by rappers such as Kanye West releasing free, high-quality material to the web. As such, Cole opted to spit over Yeezy's "Devil in a New Dress" to create "Villematic." When he leaked that track, Cole also announced that he was indeed working on another mixtape, Friday Night Lights. This serves as the follow-up to his extremely successful The Warm Up project that led to his signing with Roc Nation. It also features a long-awaited collaboration with Drake, among other new tracks.
