Around the Well collects two discs worth of out of print and unreleased songs spanning the career of hirsute folkie Sam Beam. The first disc opens with selections from the home the recordings that led to The Creek Drank the Cradle and focuses more on Beam’s work playing solo. The second disc, which traces Beam’s incorporation of a wider musical palette, also includes a cover of New Order’s “Love Vigilantes” as well as three unreleased tracks from the film In Good Company.
