I Was a King Old Friends 

Norwegian band I Was a King followed up the broken Dinosaur Jr. guitar pop on its self-titled debut with the aptly titled Old Friends. The album was recorded in the company of a number of musician peers and associates, notably indie man Daniel Smith, classical composer Joshua Stamper, jazz drummer Kevin Shea and many others. The album's material was not shared with the other artists in advance, and was recorded in less than a week.
