Here We Go Magic January EP

Initially the bedroom project of Luke Temple, Here We Go Magic expanded to a full-band lineup for its excellent second album, 2010’s Pigeons. The EP January features five songs from the Pigeons sessions. As Pigeons showed, Here We Go Magic is capable of both loopy, fluttering sound collages and straightforward dream pop. Judging from the first mp3 release from the EP, the softly pulsing “Hands in the Sky,” January will probably rely more on the subtle, unconventional side of Here We Go Magic’s musical personality than its more immediately rewarding other half.
