Seventh full-length from the label-hopping electronic/noise trio (their first for Vice) active since 1999, who added third member Sadie Laska (I.U.D.) prior to this release. Pumps was recorded at the Ocropolis, Oneida's Brooklyn studio complex, over just a few days but was subject to an intensive mixing process, which saw many songs transformed from their studio iteration. The record strays further from the group's drone and ambient roots into occassionaly dancey abstract noise as evidenced on "Hormone."
