Cardiology is Good Charlotte's sixth studio record and according to Joel Madden, the record's title is intended to reflect that the songs are all "connected to the heart," just like Good Morning Revival was mostly about the wax and wane periods of populist religiosity in American culture.

Cardiology is also influenced strongly by Blink-182, another artist who you might not think of as "influential." Joel Madden told MTV News back in November of last year that Good Charlotte was attempting to fill the void left by Blink-182's absence. Maybe that will be awkward now that Blink has returned.
