Glasvegas' Euphoric Heartbreak is their first full-length album since their 2008 self-titled debut, which was nominated for the 2009 Mercury Prize. The Scottish alternative rockers were briefly on hiatus during the interim between Glasvegas and Euphoric Heartbreak due to departure of drummer Caroline McKay, who was later replaced by Swede Jonna Löfgren. Recording sessions started in Los Angeles and ended up in London. The band made Euphoric Heartbreak with the help of producer Flood, who has worked with the Jesus and Mary Chain, Depeche Mode and U2.
