After the disbandment of The Eames Era in 2008—probably one of the finest indie pop groups to ever come out of Louisiana, guitarists Grant Widmer and Ted Joyner went on to form another project, thus goes the story of Generationals. The new group is more eclectic than its progenitor, ditching the sunny guitars for a quirky, often jangly sound that at times recalls 80's college rock, but filtered through the lens of late Aughts indie rock. The duo recorded the album in Washington, D.C. with former Oranges Band guitarist Daniel Black, who produced The Eames Era's final album, Heroes + Sheroes.
