Review

Using the concept that ventriloquist dummies are creepy things that indicate split personalities as a jumping off point, English electronic krautrock disciples Fujiya & Miyagi have crafted what they say is their darkest and most propulsive album to date with Ventriloquizzing, their first album since 2008's Lightbulbs. The quartet took this concept to an extreme, commissioning the creation of actual ventriloquist dummies in their likenesses. The album is also the first time the band has loosened their self-producing reins, bringing in Thom Monahan (Vetiver, Silver Jews, Devendra Banhart) to help man the boards.
