Franz Ferdinand
Tonight
Label: Domino
Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos announced that the group had completed its third album, titled Tonight, at an intimate show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on October 8, 2008. The record has been meticulously road tested in intimate venues throughout the UK, and finds the band evolving its post-punk sound to encompass funk and R&B influences.
Songs such as "Ride Together" and "Ulysses" are set to showcase the band's new sound, with the latter drawing a particularly strong response from the crowd at the Brooklyn show. Kapranos has also talked about their experimental recording sessions with Tonight producer Dan Carey, which found them using human bones as percussion instruments on "Kiss Me," and utilizing irregular auditory effects on "What She Came For." The album is said to have a nighttime feel, hence the title, and is released on Domino in January 2009.

The songs off 'Tonight' that they performed sounded amazing. I can't wait for this album.
