    With her second solo outing, the founding member of the Delgados moves from 4AD Records back to the Chemikal Underground label she helped create with her former band in the early 1990s. The Scottish singer-songwriter is said to be avoiding the melodic approach of her solo debut, 2007’s Watch the Fireworks, for this sophomore effort. A press release states the record will feature “unconventional arrangements” and was created by the singer’s own admission as an “almost entirely self-serving project.” Listeners should expect everything from references to Dixieland jazz to abrasive pop tunes to vocal loops. The CD was recorded with Pollock’s husband, ex-Delgado Paul Savage, producing.
