Elf Power Elf Power
Long-running Elephant 6 orange-sunshiners Elf Power released their tenth studio album in 2010, on their own...er... Orange Twin label. Utilizing multiple recording locales, the Athens, Georgia-based psych-rockers struck a balance here between studio punch and their own sort of lo-fi quirk. And in the spirit of the Elephant 6 collective, they got some help from members of fellow pop mindbenders Olivia Tremor Control and Circulator System. On a particularly poignant note, the album is dedicated to friend and collaborator Vic Chesnutt who died in 2009.
