Eef Barzelay

Lose Big

Release Date: June 17, 2008
Label: 429 Records

Abstract

Eef Barzelay made a name for himself as the witty, erudite lead singer of the eclectic, label-under-indie-rock-if-you-must band Clem Snide. While the band is apparently still in existence, Barzelay has focused on solo pursuits in recent years. His first solo album, 2006's Bitter Honey, was an underappreciated revelation of Barzelay's singular skills. In 2007, Barzelay provided the music for the film Rocket Science. One of the songs from that soundtrack, "I Love the Unknown," appears on Lose Big, Barzelay's sophomore solo album. Barzelay is reportedly at work on more film scoring.
