Little was heard from Duffy following the release of her critically acclaimed debut, Rockferry, in 2008. She hit the road in promotion of that record, of course, but how her next project would sound remained relatively unknown until early October 2010. That was when she released the lead single, the Roots-assisted "Well, Well, Well," off her sophomore record, Endlessly. It featured a slightly sassier Duffy, as the Welsh singer-songwriter used the track to respond to her boyfriend's statements in the press. Beyond that, though, it showed a progression of sound and style, both of which she honed in London and New York with songwriter-producer Albert Hammond. He and Duffy share songwriting credits across Endlessly.
