Former Ruff Ryder Earl "DMX" Simmons released Redemption of the Beast after his probation-violating jail sentence in Arizona State Prison Complex in Yuma, A. DMX also suffered the consequences for possessing narcotics, smoking, and engaging in disorderly conduct while behind bars. Despite these reports, the rapper notes the influence of the Bible on his life and seventh studio album.
