DJ Premier, KRS-One Return Of The Boom Bip

Return of the Boom Bip not only recalls the name of KRS-One's classic solo debut, Return of the Boom Bap. It also finds the hip-hop giant pairing up with DJ Premier for a collaborative record, the rapper's second in just as many years. For his previous record, KRS linked with Buckshot to craft Survival Skills. While it was a somewhat-middling affair, it proved the Blastmaster still had it in him to craft some gems. And what better way to continue his momentum than with Premo, one of hip-hop's most revered producers. Some might argue that these two living legends are past their prime, but their recent work has shown they are just as hungry and capable as their younger cohorts.
