Delta Spirit The Waits Room EP

When Delta Spirit recorded their solid sophomore effort, 2010's History From Below, the band ventured from their native San Diego to Sonoma County, Calif.'s Prairie Sun Studios. The result was an even more expansive, soul-infused sound that the band demonstrated on 2008 debut, Ode to Sunshine. The quartet wasn't done with 2010 or Prairie Sun Studios, though, as they reentered the complex to record in the room used by Tom Waits. Hence the name of The Waits Room EP, a five-song project recorded live with two microphones.
