With all things early '90s being re-released these days, it's not too much of a surprise to see the first album from Damon & Naomi getting the deluxe-reissue treatment. Originally released in 1992, More Sad Hits was the rhythm section of Galaxie 500's musical response to the dissolution of that seminal shoegazer band's demise. As with all of Galaxie 500's work, it was recorded by Kramer and released on his imprint, Shimmy Disc. This reissue, which features new artwork and liner notes, is being released by Damon Krukowski and Naomi Yang's label, 20/20/20. Since this debut, the duo has continued to release albums full of, well, if not more sad hits, then more gorgeous indie rock.
