Both a record label and a group, D-Block came together in the early 2000s through the force of its three founding members, Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Styles P, who also make up the Lox. The former Notorious B.I.G. affiliates went on to record and release a host of mixtapes and street albums. While they didn’t receive huge sales numbers, the efforts received underground love thanks to hardcore, longtime fans. The collective did see some minor success with street singles such as "Two Guns Up," which received airplay. D-Block's self-titled effort is their first release on Koch Records and also their first since 2008's Prepare for Glory and The CD/DVD Mixtape.
