While his former songwriting partner in beloved indie-pop band the Unicorns Nick Thorburn has put out roughly 15 albums under varying nomikers (Islands, Human Highway, Reefer, etc.), Alden Penner has remained shoruded in mystery. That is until 2008, when it was revealed that Penner was hard at work with his own rock collective, Clues (who still don't have a MySpace page), who were putting the finishing touches on their self-titled debut. Clues promises the sprawled out, left-field epics (check "Remember Severed Head" for proof) that Penner contributed to the Unicorns, with former Arcade Fire member Brendan Reed serving as Penner's foil.
