Liverpool's scrub-swaddled tricksters are back with more blood-soaked high jinks. "Harvest" has a bass line that beats along like a heart murmur, and it would get any cadaver's foot tapping. Add to that the rattling percussion and a creepy little synth/organ line, and get out your scalpel. Liverpool has always been a bit of a hotbed (gurney?) for weird sounds, and Clinic's latest single is no exception. Ade Blackburn's little, reedy vocals add to the creepiness, the perfect counterpoint to the Zombies-esque not-remotely-jangling guitars and organs that dig their gnarled fingers into the B-sides that round out this single from Visitations (released in October).
