You know DMX. You've heard his gravelly voice and his "What"s and his dog metaphors. He has reached the point of his career that includes a full page of his liner notes devoted to detailing the various benefits of joining his official fan club. If you like DMX and own all his albums, by all means, buy this one and fill out your collection. But if you're not a fan, other than the highlight "Shot Down" produced by Salaam Wreck and featuring 50 Cent and Styles P, this one has nothing much to change your mind. Other than inertia, DMX has little going for him. After all the bloodshed imagery, the "in the name of Jesus" track with Patti LaBelle is at least good for a few laughs.
